30-day visa extension for foreigners in Sri Lanka

Welcome to the official Electronic Travel Authorization (ETA) website of the Department of Immigration and Emigration (DI&E) of the Democratic Socialist Republic of Sri Lanka.

For a brief visit to Sri Lanka, (For more information visit ...) you must obtain an ETA, which takes effect from January 1, 2012.

On the basis of reciprocity, citizens of the Republic of Singapore and the Republic of Maldives are exempt from the requirement to obtain the ETA to visit Sri Lanka.

Only the Department of Immigration and Emigration Colombo, Sri Lanka (DI&E) has the authority to issue the ETA.
